Summer is a chance for fun and festivities.  Hoping everyone is rejuvenating and relaxing.  Before we know it, the doors will be opening and children will be arriving at Holy Trinity School.


The 2010-2011 school year promises to be an exciting one.  Our school theme, "Continuing The Journey--Sharing Our Stories," will provide us with year long opportunities to learn about our classmates and neighbors, as we strive to grow in our respect of one another.



Reminders:

1.  Please send your postcard from any summer vacation to Mrs. McDowell at Holy Trinity School (Osborne and Stockham Aves, Morrisville, PA 19067) to be used in a school display.

2.  Keep looking for date coming up in August for Uniform Swap Night where parents can secure free uniforms.


3.  Monday, August 23rd--Contract Signing and Tuition Night at 7:00 PM





First Day Activities
:

This year's "First Day Celebration" will be on Monday, September 13th.  Please mark your calendars and plan to be with us for:

--9:00 AM ---Mass and Welcome to new faculty and students

--9:45 AM--Breakfast in school cafeteria and school tour

--10:30 AM--Entertainment and Prizes


----Come out and help us plan this wonderful event as we unite as a community to begin our 2010-2011 school year---Planning Meeting will be on Tuesday, July 20th at 6:30 PM in the faculty room.  We need every hand we can get!




Upcoming Events for 2010-2011

--Improved and Expanded Leadership Team with a Schoolwide Character Development Plan

--Continued improvements in Technology in Grades K to 8

--A schoolwide Math program to help maintain and improve Math skills

--Home and School Family Fun Nights like Deal or No Deal, Bingo, and an Adult Mystery Dinner Theater

--A "Homework Zone" for Grades 6-7-8 (Monday to Thursday)

--An expanded calendar of after school clubs like Bowling, Scrapbooking, Dance, Gardening, Sports, History Club, Photography, and Scuba Diving

--A year-long Reading Olympics Program for students in Grades 6-7-8

--Unit-Wide activities, holiday programs and events

--A Halloween Parade for Grades PK-4

--A Christmas Advent Angel Pageant for Grades PK-4

--A Lenten Passion Play for Grades 5-8

--Christian Rock Concert

Pre-K and Kindergarten meeting on Wednesday, September 1st at 6:30 PM at Trinity Hall on Pennsylvania Ave next to Rectory driveway.  One parent from each family of our PreK and K students must attend.
