I cannot express my gratitude enough for the support I have felt
over the past nine months to bring a vision to life. So many of our initial goals have been accomplished in such a short
time!
v
What a wonderful week we had with all of the adventures
of Catholic Schools Week at Holy Trinity! Many thanks to the students and parents who shared their stories in our Global
Tour. With Mrs. McDowell as our pilot, everyone certainly enjoyed the trip.
v A special thank you to Karen McMenamin and her team for a very successful Bingo Night.
It made our hearts sing to see so many families having fun. Thanks also to our very own Bingo caller, Father Eckert
and our entertaining Mr. McCusker – what a team!
v Our
sincere appreciation goes out to Mrs. Haney who outdid herself during Catholic Schools Week with a school-wide Art Display
and a 1970’s Poetry Coffee House. A Job Well Done!
v Thanks
to Mrs. Raudenbush and her team headed by Mrs. Arco and our school volunteers, Kathy and Pete, for our beautiful display at
the Book Fair – even Clifford stopped by to see us at Holy Trinity!
v Thanks to the Home & School for their treats for the students as well as a delicious luncheon
for the faculty and staff.
v Thanks to Mrs. McDowell,
the Knights of Columbus, and the Home & School Association for the wonderful enrichment assembly for the students performed
by “Stages of Imagination”, entitled, “Broken Heart.”
v Thank you for all of your support for the Candy-Gram Sale organized by faculty members, Mr. McCusker
and Miss “A”, with the assistance of the Leadership Team. We love the addition of a little spirit at Valentine’s
Day!
v
Remembering Our Troops – Mrs. Eccleston and the
third grade students continue with their year-long project and are collecting items this month that are needed by our troops
in Afghanistan.
Every little treat can bring a message of friendship and support from home!
v Dress Down Day in February - $1.00 donations will help to offset the postage of the care packages that
will be sent to our troops in Afghanistan.
v Registration – Spots are filling quickly. Please send your registration forms in
as soon as possible to secure your spot for the 2010-2011 School Year!
v Upcoming
Events –
Mrs.
Quattrone, Mrs. Eccleston, and Mrs. McMenamin will be leading all of us in a “Race for Education” in early May.
Plans are beginning already for a “Baseball Theme” so get ready to pull out your jerseys. Profits generated
from this event will help us convert a rather old-fashioned library into a state-of-the-art Student Resource Center.
v Our
next Development Team Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 10th at 6:30 pm in the School Library. Please plan to join us
as we continue to move forward in improving our school and programs.
v BIG NEWS –
Congratulations to 8th Graders Ryan Neff and MacKenzie Purr, Class of 2010, who were awarded partial 4 year scholarships
to Conwell Catholic High School. Both students placed in the
Top 10 students of those who took the Scholarship/Entrance exam. Hats off to both of these students and their parents!
v
Thank you to Emma Buchko (PreK)
and her Mom for sharing a bit of Emma’s culture with us. Emma brought in a whole
lesson on the Chineese New Year, complete with handouts and treats for her classmates, teachers and principal.
v Many thanks to all who participate in our Scrip/Manna programs.
Through your generous support, we were able to accomplish a second phase of our school painting plan over the Christmas Break.
The entire first floor hallway and stairwell are now complete. Is it possible that Mrs. Haney’s mural and her
apple baskets look even more beautiful now? We ask for your continued support as we move forward with a systematic plan
to have all areas in the school painted in short term! Our next goal – the second floor over the Easter break!
Please continue to support our Scrip/Manna programs.
v Five
of our ten classrooms will be equipped with SMART Technology capabilities as a result of our most recent orders. Your
children will be the beneficiaries of these efforts as we continue to evaluate and improve all of our academic programs.
We have recently established a three and five year Technology Plan that will guide us in our design to provide the very best
for our students.
Wow! So much is happening here at Holy Trinity!
Brag about it all!
May all of your homes be filled with the peace
that only the Lord
can provide.
