I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer so far. I've been spending lots of time with my grandson,
gardening and reading by the pool --- all my favorite summer things! I'm going on vacation soon and can't wait.
I'll remember to send a postcard to Mrs. McDowell and I hope you do the same thing to tell her about your summer.
I hope you've begun reading your 2 summer reading books - Henry and Mudge - The First Book
and Frog and Toad Together and working on the reading and math packets. Don't wait
until the last minute! Remember to practice your vocabulary words and your math facts.
The back to school
sales have already begun, so I'm including the list of supplies for next year so you can save some money and buy them
now:
2 double pocket folders
lots of #2 pencils
small pencil case
small art box
crayons (24 or less) no markers
scissors
glue
handi-wipe or small cloth for messes
clear contact paper to cover books at home
I'll also be asking each student to bring in a box of tissues and 4 tennis balls for the chair legs.
I hope you continue to enjoy this relaxing time with your family and friends. Come back to school with lots of stories
to tell about all your adventures.
