Message from the Principal:
It is a humble heart and a love for Catholic Education that I bring to the position of principal at Holy Trinity
School. As a lifelong learner educated in Catholic Schools, as well as the mother of four children educated in Catholic
Education, I consider it a privilege to be part of providing a Catholic Education to our youth. I am grateful to all
of the families who have entrusted their children to our care, and I admire the teachers and staff who have chosen to
make sacrifices to stay in Catholic Education. I am here to serve you, and I am devoted to the mission of Holy Trinity
School. The 2010-2011 school year promises to be an exciting one!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Elaine A. McDowell

Principal’s Philosophy
I believe education should be viewed as an opportunity to create life-long learners.
Every year in the life of a child’s education needs to be viewed as a journey in and of itself with goals to reach and
standards to be achieved. Then, each year should be viewed as part of a process in educating the whole child—with
the emphasis on the final outcome of a child grounded emotionally, socially, academically, and spiritually. When a child
leaves an elementary school, they should be equipped with the skills to approach the next level, the enthusiasm to encounter
change, and the confidence to anticipate success.
